India vs SouthAfrica

Came up for short stay of two days at Raj.
My Aunt from South Africa is here. I was watching some of her videos of Johannesburg and Cape town and couldn't help wondering why Indians actually drove out the British. About 60 years back SA was in a much more pitiable state than India. Then India got independence but the face of the country remained more or less the same and not until the mid 90s did any noticeable uplifts such as the boom of the IT sector come into the scenario. SA got independence about 40 or 45 years after us but tremendous development took place in this time gap and now the cities of SA are as modern as any American or European ones. I bet you can't argue that all that development was actually possible without the help of the English.
